| Accelerated Reader is a networked program available to all students at Lockwood School. AR offers a motivational student reading program that aligns with the Reading Renaissance philosophy. Students successfully read books at their reading level (as prescribed by STAR testing) and then go on to take a computerized comprehension test. All reading records and tests are accessible through the network at any workstation on campus. |

| Tech Coaches provide in-depth sustained assistance for staff through the “Technology Literacy Coach” program. One coach/grade level is appointed and becomes the on site mentor who can guide co-workers toward tech proficiencies. Coaches receive extensive training (at least monthly) on computer skills and technology integration and then plan and implement training for their particular groups. Coaches provide “just in time” support and serve as models for technology integration practices. Coaches receive stipends for their extra duties supported for the last 2 years by grants. |
