Immerse student in reading and writing and studying the mode of writing they are required to do rather than writing a formula or "canned program".
This 6 hour class will offer researched based ideas on how to teach the mode of writing students are expected to learn. For example, students will study other text of narrative writing before producing their own narrative text. Participants will be provided with ideas and activities to take back to ther classrooms. All grades will benefit from this writing course as the text examples used can be adjusted to their grade level. The materials you will use are materials you already use.
The class will also offer ideas for integrating Indian Education for All, or IFES, into your daily curriculum. It will be fun and rewarding as the participants develop their own writing talents.
