School Psychologist - Dwight VonSchriltz since '96
Perhaps the most visible Co-op employee at Lockwood is Dwight VonSchriltz, School Psychologist. Dwight came to work at Lockwood his first year out of his graduate program in December of 1996. At that time, he was completing work for his degree from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, MN. Since that time, he has become an integral member of the Lockwood faculty. Whether he is testing kids, observing and consulting in classrooms, counseling with struggling students and families, or coaching football and basketball, Dwight's insights and positive attitude are an enormous contribution to our schools. He and his wife reside in Billings.
Speech-Language Pathologist - Kristin Garsjo since '98
Kristin Garsjo is in her third year as a speech-language pathologist for the Co-op. She grew up in Rock Springs, Wyoming; attended 2 years at Western Wyoming College; transferred to the University of South Dakota, and received her Master's in Communication Disorders in 1995. Kristin began her professional career in service to elderly clients, and continued in long-term care and home health care in Billings, prior to joining the Co-op. Kristin adds her expertise 3 days a week to Joanne Krahnert (a Lockwood employed Speech therapist) and their speech aide, Bonnie Lorang, to the effort to serve up to 80 students per week in individual and group therapies. Kristin, her husband and their boy live in Billings.
Coop Clerk - Robyn Dietz since '93
Robyn Dietz is the secretary and clerk for the Cooperative. She types scores of reports, runs test scoring programs, purchases supplies and equipment, pays bills, runs payroll, bills Medicaid and generally keeps the Co-op running smoothly. Robyn is an exceptional office/business manager who came to us 8 years ago from similar positions with an oil company and a private psychologist. She lives in Shepherd with her husband and 2 children.
Director of the Co-op - Leonard Orth since '88
Leonard Orth is the Director of the Co-op. He grew up in the Billings area after his family moved here to help start the Yellowstone Boys Ranch in 1957. Leonard is in his 13th year with the East Co-op. Previously, he worked at the Boys and Girls Ranch for 11 years. He provides assistance with education funding , inservice programming, legal matters related to SPED, and oversees the delivery of special services to the member districts' nearly 3,500 students. He lives in Laurel with his wife and 2 children.
