Leonard Orth PhotographMr. Leonard Orth is a special education director who was born on March 31,1956. He grew up at the Boy's and Girl's Ranch of Montana where his parent's worked. Leonard's favorite subjects in school were P.E. and music. He liked these things because he liked athletics and liked music. Some of the pets he has are a rabbit and a dog. He has four people in his family. They are his wife (Julie), son (Isaac), and daughter (Hannah).

His job requires lots of college and special education administration experience. The colleges he went to are MSU Billings and Bozeman. Mr. Orth worked construction in Montana and taught in Montana and Minnesota. The reason he picked this job is because he's for the underdog, and when he got engaged he had the most credits in special education. He chose to work at Lockwood because there weren't many jobs like his and Lockwood had an opening. The thing he likes most is that the staff is very supportive. Some of his responsibilities are: he oversees special education services, and he mediates between schools, parents and other agencies. Some of the ways the school has changed since he has been here is there are more special education kids and administrative support. He would like to see more focus on reading. If he could choose another job it would be an orthopedic surgeon.

Some of his hobbies are music, singing, piano, reading to kids, hunting, woodwork, and backpacking. He likes to read, meet with church members, and to perform music. One of the places he has traveled is New York City. Some of the places he wants to visit are Europe and go back to New York City to see all of the people. The sports he likes are hunting, basketball, and volleyball. His favorite food is seafood lasagna. His favorite animal is a black lab or an elk. Summer is his favorite holiday. The Hobbit is his favorite book. His favorite musician is Itzach Pearlman.
