INDIVIDUALS, RECOGNITION, ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND CORRESPONDENCE

Public Comment: There were no public comments requests submitted.

Lion's Lair Discussion: Superintendent Novasio explained the PTA has sent a draft bill of sale
for the Lions Lair 2.0 structure to the district. The PTA's concern is currently the group has no
insurance on the stored equipment but thought if the district was in ownership the equipment
would fall under the district's property insurance. Mr. Novasio noted he has both the insurance
company and legal advisors reviewing the draft bill of sale but understands the equipment must
be on district property to be insured. He questions the wisdom of accepting liability until the
structure is completely installed. Sue Robertson with the PTA remarked the equipment is placed
in a secure spot but needs to be insured. Discussion was held on the cost effectiveness of moving
the equipment for storage at the district. The Trustees suggested calling for a special meeting
before 8th grade promotion on June 3, 2016 to accept the bill of sale if the draft is approved by
legal counsel and the insurance carrier. Mrs. Robertson will take the information to the PTA
meeting on Wednesday.
