No discussion of personnel or individual students is permitted at this time. A limit of three minutes is placed on each speaker. Persons who want more time may make arrangements to be placed on a future agenda. The public is also reminded that they may provide input on all motions being considered by the board at this meeting.

Special Board Meeting
August 15, 2014

REGULAR SESSION CALL TO ORDER - 7:00 pm

Chair Susanne Vinton opened the regular meeting and called it to order at 12:31 p.m. and led
those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The following trustees and officers were present: Trustees Susanne Vinton, Don Reed, Peter
Freivalds, Tim Sather, Jennifer Wagner, Joe Borgstrom, Superintendent Tobin Novasio and
District Clerk Laurie Noonkester. Trustee Kat Luhman was absent.

All guests are asked to sign in upon arrival.

Mrs. Vinton welcomed visitors and advised the following:

No requests to be heard were submitted.

ITEMS FOR ACTION

A. Approve 2014-15 Bus Routes

Superintendent Novasio presented and explained the proposed bus routes for the 2014-15 School
Year.

Discussion was held on the route changes, shortened ride times and parent notification.

Trustee Peter Freivalds moved to approve the 2014-2015 bus routes as presented. Don Reed
seconded the motion.

Further discussion was held.

Trustees Peter Freivalds, Tim Sather, Susanne Vinton, Jennifer Wagner, Don Reed, and Joe
Borgstrom voted yes; the motion passed unanimously.

B. Rehire Substitutes for the 2014-2015 School Year

Superintendent Novasio recommended the list of individuals that worked as substitutes are
rehired for the 2014-15 School Year. He noted that all of those listed have passed the background
check requirement for employment with the district.

Discussion was held.

Trustee Joe Borgstrom moved to approve the re-hire of those listed as substitutes for the 2014-15
School Year as presented. Peter Freivalds seconded the motion.

Trustees Peter Freivalds, Tim Sather, Susanne Vinton, Jennifer Wagner, Don Reed, and Joe
Borgstrom voted yes; the motion passed unanimously.

Chair Susanne Vinton reported that she has received a call from City/County Planning Board
with the request to send a Lockwood representative for the a Focus Group regarding
Revitalization.

ADJOURN

The next Regular Meeting will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lockwood
School District Board Room.

Trustee Peter Freivalds moved to adjourn the meeting at 12:53 p.m. Joe Borgstrom seconded the
motion.

Trustees Peter Freivalds, Tim Sather, Jennifer Wagner, Don Reed, Susanne Vinton, and Joe
Borgstrom voted yes; the motion passed unanimously.
