I recommend that the attached list of substitutes be approved. Some of them may be conditionally
until we get TB tests and background checks on file.
  4. Student Disciplinary Issue
The Board will take action on the Disciplinary Hearing that is taking place prior to the Regular
    Meeting.

  5. Amend Bus Routes
I am working with our Lead Driver to shuffle our bus routes so that we can pick up and drop off the
students on Suburban and Rolling Meadow Drives. We may also make some other changes to
counteract increasing busloads in some areas.

  6. Policy Update - Note Policies Marked with ** are Based on Legislative Action - Only One
    Reading

    1. 1000 Series - Board of Trustees
      A. New Policies - First Reading - 1332, 1402, 1621, 1700
The Board will need to set an amount on Policy 1132. Laurie and I discussed this and we
feel more comfortable with the Board setting this amount.
      B. Revision - 1000
The updated policy clarifies that we are a First Class District.
    2. 2000 Series - Instruction
      A. New Policies - First Reading - 2110, 2120, 2310P
      B. Revision - 2333
This revision removes prayer and clarifies that our Principals can review and speeches.
This policy also clarifies that our eighth graders are not "graduating".
    3. 3000 Series - Students
      A. New Policies - First Reading - *3121*, *3123*, 3141, *3200*, 3222, 3224, 3225F,
          3340, *3415*, *3415P*, *3415F*, 3431, 3612, 3612P, 3612F
The policies with asterisk are based on changes to legislation and only require one
reading. Policy 3141 deals with Out of District Students. Joe asked me to include the
"alternate" policy to determine if we want to incorporate any of this language in our
      process.
      B. Revision - 3231, 3300
There are significant changes to Policy 3231 and 3300 that you will want to review.
    4. 4000 Series - Community Relations
      A. New Policies - First Reading - 4120, 4313, *4600*
      B. Revision - 4330
The revision here is to eliminate the term "student”, clarifying that school related activities
have first priority in scheduling of facilities.
    5. 5000 Series - Personnel
      A. New Policies - First Reading - 5255, 5460P; Second Reading - 5460
    6. 8201 - Food Allergies and Special Dietary Needs - Final (Third) Reading
