ITEMS FOR ACTION

  1. Hiring of a Teacher for the 2012-13 School Year.

K-5 Principal Mike Bowman provided to the trustees Robert V. DiGiallonardo's resume and recommends he be hired for the vacant teaching position that was created by the resignation of Keith Tresch. Mr. DiGiallonardo's background check is completed and certification requirements have been met and verified. Mr. Bowman noted that Mr. DiGiallonardo would have preferred to be present at today's meeting but was prevented from doing so as he is currently a long term teacher substitute with the Missoula School District.

Discussion was held on staffing changes for next year and the various challenges a first year teacher can experience. Mr. Bowman explained that while Mr. Tresch held the 3-5 science position, Mrs. Guenther has expressed interest in moving into that position thus leaving a 3rd grade spot open, in which, he will place Mr. DiGiallonardo.
