Below is a list of some of the great projects that the Lockwood PTA Supports:

  • Saturday Live (day/fundraiser)
This event is held on a Saturday in September at Pioneer Park. Volunteers can work the day shift or donate a few hours. Volunteers run the games at the Lockwood PTA booth and hand out prizes.

  • Health Screening (day/fall vision & spring hearing)

  • Halloween Party & Middle School Dance (night)
This party is held Halloween night for two hours. At this event participants are charged a nonperishable item for admittance, with these items going to Lockwood families in need. Donations of cupcakes, cakes, candy, and treats are needed for games and treat bags. Volunteers bag the candy, hand out candy, set up and run games, supervise the night, and clean up. This project is a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club. The dance for Middle School students takes place at the same time in the old Middle School gym. Treats, drinks, and volunteers to help chaperone the dance are needed.

  • Food, Clothing and Toy Drive (day/night) October to mid-December
This is our biggest community event. This partners with the PTA, the school, local businesses and families. The food is collected Kyle's Drawing of Boystarting at the Halloween party and from families and businesses for the food baskets. The toys are donated from the students of Lockwood and money raised and donated is used by students to purchase toys that children request. The clothing is purchased from donations from families and business and the PTA to fulfill family requests such as coats, mittens, pants and socks. This entire event could not be successful without the entire communities support. This is a Lockwood Event for families in need!
