The 7th graders formed a race of their own. It was a version of the famous sled dog race up in Alaska. This race 7th graders ran a mile and a quarter, the smallest person on the team served as musher, and the rest of the team pulled them through the tough course. Each team had to stop at checkpoints like they do in the “Iditarod” and you had to answer questions at each stop. A lot of younger students came out to support and cheer the teams on. It was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work and was covered by local TV and newspapers.
