Screen Free
Highlights

Lockwood School went the extra distance for Screen Free Week, April 18-22. A record number of students signed up to turn their TVs and computers off for 1 week. Total student participation for Pre-K through 5th grade was 275 students. Students that signed up early received a new book with a bookmark and puzzle packet. All children that participated in the week received a certificate of achievement and a candy prize at the end of the week. Screen Free Week is a week designated to turning off the TV and video games and finding alternative activities to keep busy such as reading, physical exercise or family game time. The Family Resource Center would like to thank all the Lockwood teachers for promoting this outstanding program in their classrooms. Way to go!!

Sign Up

Kindergarten Sign Up for Lockwood Residents will be on Tuesday, May 8 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Lockwood Primary Gym. This sign up is for children living in Lockwood, 5 years of age on or before September 10, 2012. Parents must bring a Certified Birth Certificate (from the county court house, not the hospital), Complete Immunization Records (which NEED to include the child's 5 year old shots) and parents must be prepared to show proof of residency in the Lockwood community. Incomplete registration will NOT be accepted. If you are unable to make it to registration on May 8, you may come to the Primary Office beginning on Monday, May 14 during school hours to register your child. Registration forms on line do not include the Kindergarten Packet so please come to the office for a complete packet. We look forward to seeing you!
