Teacher substitutes with a valid Montana teaching certificate receive $75 a day and non-certified substitute teachers are paid $70 daily. Support staff substitutes are paid an hourly rate of $7.50. This is an excellent employment opportunity for those who want to supplement their income.

To qualify as a teacher substitute you must: complete all of the necessary application forms and have a valid Montana Teacher Certificate on file for the certified rate of pay. Some college credit is preferred. Substitutes for support staff must complete the necessary application and employment forms and have a high school diploma or GED.

A fingerprint background check is required for all substitute applicants. Substitutes must bring in proof of a recent TB test.

Project Love
Can you spare one or more hours each week to help our children and teachers? If you answered yes, then you would be interested in becoming a Project LOVE volunteer at Lockwood Schools. Our volunteers are men and women of all ages who are willing to help on a regular basis in the classroom, art room, etc. or to help with projects at home such as cutting, sewing or typing.

All of our volunteers are united in one common purpose: a desire to share and help. Volunteers earn free lunch at school for every eight times they come in to help. If you are interested or have any questions please call Coti Widdicombe at 252-2776 (press 1).
