The primary music program at Lockwood Schools has one main focus: getting kids to love music. The primary music curriculum is based on the national standards for music education, and the educational objectives are taught through singing, creative and rhythmic movement, and instrument playing. Students are given the opportunity to share their learning experiences with the public through a number of performances throughout the year. By making music fun and exciting, the primary music program prepares students for more advanced music-making throughout their education.
