Indian Education Day
After a wonderful event last year the School-Wide Relations team is planning another Native American Day for our students on April 1, 2015. Last year we could not have done the event without your help. We would like to ask for your help again to come up with some new activities and workshops for all of our students. We would like to get together with any interested parents on Thursday, February 12, in the Family and Consumer Science room (631) in the Middle School at 6 PM. Students are welcome as well. If you are not able to attend but have a resource or ideas, please email Sue Roberts at firstname.lastname@example.org

Welcome to the Eileen Johnson Middle School! In the spring of 2012, the Lockwood Middle School was renamed the Eileen Johnson Middle School in honor of then retiring superintendent Eileen Johnson. Many important projects, including the construction of the new middle school building, were undertaken during Mrs. Johnson's tenure. The school board dedicated the school to Mrs. Johnson in thanks for her many years of dedication to the district.
Sixth grade, seventh grade, and eighth grade students attend classes in the middle school. Mr. Gordon Klasna is the principal, and Mr. Kelly Kinsey is the assistant principal. They are assisted by secretary Mrs. Stacy Schlepp. There are over 400 students and several classroom teachers, specialists and support staff in the middle school who provide a great learning environment for our students. We are the Lockwood Lions!
Lockwood Middle School students can participate in extra curricular activities including student council and several sports. An activity fee of $35 is required to help support the sports' programs. The times, locations, and dates of all sporting events are posted at the Sports Calendars link during the school year. The following sports are offered.
