February
2004 all-staff faculty meeting. Prior to this faculty meeting,
team meeting discussions had indicated several areas of concern.
May
2004 the first surveys were sent to students, parents and staff.
This was our baseline data upon which we will develop our goals for
MBI.
June
2004 Lockwood MBI core team attends week-long MBI conference in Bozeman.
August-October
2004 MBI core team meets to plan whole staff meetings and future goals.

9, 2004--core team reviewed OPI requirements as MBI site and looked
at the mission/vision statement(s) for the middle school

statement and plan for next whole staff meeting

5, 2004--core team planning for next whole staff meeting

for a half-day work session to tally parent, student and staff surveys
November
15-16, 2004 MBI facilitator and school principal attend MBI training in

9, 2004--core team met to discuss use of survey data and were updated
on the most recent principal and facilitator's training in Helena
January
3, 2005 --whole staff receive survey results to discuss with grade level
teams in preparation for whole staff MBI meeting January 18.

6, 2005--core team met to review survey data as well as to
looked at strengths, concerns and discrepancies noted in data
- January
18, 2005-- Power
point presentation--whole staff meeting to discuss positive actions
as well as concerns noted in survey data. Staff invited to attend
all regularly-scheduled MBI meetings in future.
- January
24, 2005--table discussion with staff in attendance to generate
specific lists in areas of concern and develop consensus of primary
goal.
- February
17, 2005--table discussion with staff in attendance to plan framework
for teaching responsible hallway behavior.
February
28 - March 1, 2005 MBI facilitator and school principal attend MBI training
in Helena.

10, 2005--develop a strategy to meet our goal of improved hallway
behavior.

31, 2005--completed the hallway unit and prepared
it to be presented to staff. Assigned
sub-groups tasks of developing T-charts for desired hallway behavior
and posters to be placed in hallways to stimulate student interest

- April
7, 2005 Prepared for the staff presentation (4/14/05) on hallway
expectations as well as the procedure for implementation of process.
- April
14, 2005--presented the finished hallway t-charts, banners and "teaser"
posters to the Middle School staff. Staff questions about implementation
of the hallway procedure were addressed.
- May
12, 2005-- verbal input and discussion from the core team members
so that a formal evaluation of our first year in MBI could be written.
- May
27, 2005--touch bases with those staff who will be attending MBI
in June.
June
2005 Lockwood MBI core team and additional middle school staff attend
week-long MBI conference in Bozeman.
