MBI Committees
Currently we have five MBI committees established in our building. They are:
Hallway – this committee works to establish proactive and preventative procedures that create hallway behavior resulting in a safe and orderly climate during transitions.
Survey – this committee will oversee the continuation of the collection and interpretation of data throughout the building. The committee will also explore the use of surveying tools for collecting data with accuracy and efficiency.
Behavior – this committee's purpose is to ensure that students and staff have the same understanding of behavior and that misbehavior incidents are reported in such a manner as to provide consistently reported data for school improvement. Refining the referral process, to address a wide range of behaviors, will be explored by this committee as well.
Communication – it is the responsibility of this committee to communicate progress, implementation and support of our universal systems. This committee will ensure MBI work and progress is being communicated to all involved parties, including Office of Public Instruction.
DEFINE – 3 –5 school-wide expectations (PRIDE)
TEACH – Direct instruction of behavioral expectations
REMIND – Clear in the moment reminders
CELEBRATE – Daily recognition, weekly/quarterly/grade-level/whole school celebrations
