State health officials have announced new requirements for next fall. These new requirements will primarily impact students entering seventh grade or kindergarten.

Incoming Kindergarten 05/06: All kindergarten students must present an official
copy of their immunizations from the doctor/clinic. They need to have received two doses of the MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) vaccine since they were 12 months old.

7th Grade 05/06 - Students entering seventh grade who are 11 or older will need to
show proof that they have received a booster dose of tetanus/diphtheria (Td)
within the past five years and a second MMR (measles/mumps/rubella).

An immunization clinic for our 6th grade students to receive their Td will be held on Tuesday, May 17th. Information will be mailed home. Our 6th graders are up to date for MMR because they were required to have it to enter middle school last year.

IF YOUR STUDENT HAS HAD A Td OR MMR BOOSTER, PLEASE SEND AN OFFICIAL COPY TO THE SCHOOL, ATTENTION SCHOOL NURSE.
