Destination Imagination
Each year students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades from Lockwood Schools form teams and choose coaches to participate in the Destination Imagination competition This international competition focuses on creative thinking and problem solving and involves more than 400,000 kids worldwide.

Knowledge Masters
This contest was developed to provide schools with an opportunity to compete in a national academic contest without the expense of traveling to a central site. The contest stimulates interest and recognition for academic accomplishment. Thousands of students in fifth and sixth grade compete in the Elementary Knowledge Masters contest and the Middle School Competition. The students face the challenge of 100 questions from a variety of curricular areas. Scores are based on accuracy as well as the speed in which answers were given, and are recorded via the computer. Competitions are held in the Extended Studies room during school hours.

Scheduled events for the 2005-2006 will be posted when they become available.

Project Fair
The Project Fair is a special night in May when students from the Extended Studies Academic Program present their projects for the year. The event takes place on the Lockwood campus and involves the entire community. Students display their work and give oral presentations to share what they have learned. More information about this event will be posted in the spring of 2005.
