I was born in New Jersey, and lived in New York, Virginia and Florida. I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Education in 1978. I taught third grade for three years in Florida and then left teaching to work at J.C. Penney, in Colorado, where I was a Merchandise Manager for 12 years. Then I was a sales representative for a women's clothing company for three years where I learned about clothing design and construction.
In 1995 I returned to teaching in California. I taught Retail Sales and Marketing and Fashion Design to high school and adult students for eight years. Next I was an administrator for one year. I earned my Master's degree in Administration in 2003.
Also in 2003 my husband and I moved back to his childhood home in Billings, MT. We live in an old home with our three dogs and two cats. I have always loved to sew and cook so I am very excited to be teaching Family and Consumer Science at Lockwood Middle School!
