Welcome to my web site.  I teach two classes of communication arts and three classes of math to sixth graders.  I feel I am fortunate, as I love to teach both subjects, and I have been given an opportunity to do both in the same year.

This is my 31st year at Lockwood Middle School, which means that I not only know my students, but I also know many of their brothers, sisters, parents and even their grandparents. My connections to all of these people have enriched my life in so many ways. I am fortunate to have such a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.

I have been married to my husband Terry for 35 years and have two grown daughters. Kerry and her husband live in Seattle, Washington, where she is a physician. Amy and her husband live in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Amy is employed by the University of Tampa. In my free time I like to read, watch football, and work on my photo albums and scrapbooks. 

My husband and I enjoy traveling; we try to visit our daughters often, but we have also visited Alaska and Washington D.C. Almost every year we spend several days in Yellowstone National Park.
