Parents
and students should feel free to contact me with questions
or concerns they may have. Remember:
"Concerns
unexpressed remain unaddressed".
You
may use any of the following methods. I regularly check
my e-mail and voicemail and will respond at my earliest
convenience.
Phone
policy: If you need to contact me by phone
at home, please do so before 10:00 p.m.. Please don't
hesitate to call me at home if you have a concern or
question. This is not a typical offer made by
most teachers, and I will only contiue to offer it until
it becomes a problem. My philosophy:
I would rather take just a moment to answer
a question or clarify an assignment than have parents
or students frustrated or confused all evening, having
to wait until the next class day to resolve their question.
Please
be aware that I may not be home all evening, but please,
please feel comfortable calling me at home if you have
any concerns or questions. If I am not home, please
leave a message including your NAME, NUMBER to CALL
BACK, AVAILABLE TIME/LATEST TIME I can call back, and
BRIEF QUESTION. Even if I am unable to get back to you,
I will have a record that you attempted to call with
a question. I realize that releasing my private
number is not a typical practice of most teachers.
I, however, would like to remain available and will
continue this practice for the benefit of parents and
students UNLESS it becomes a problem
(abuse of privelege). The connection between class
and home is valuable to your student's success.
