
A "Batty" Research Project |
| 1. We will discuss what you already know about bats as a class. |
| 2. We will watch a "United Streaming" video about bats on overhead projector as a class. |
| 3. We will have a class discussion about what we learned from the video. |
| 4. Each student will choose a bat they would like to research from a teacher made list. |
| 5. You may use these web-sites in order to fill-in a fact sheet on the bat you have chosen (fact sheet). |
| 6. Using the sentences from your fact sheet, you will write a paragraph about your chosen bat. |
| 7. You will prepare a poster about your bat which should include your paragraph and 2 images of your chosen bat (either from computer images or pictures you have drawn). |
| 8. Each of you will report on your bat using your poster in front of the class. |
| 9. You will then write 2-3 sentences on what you learned about bats throughout our research. |
