Mrs.
Tammy Biggins is a first grade teacher. She has taught first and
second grade at Lockwood School. She thinks it is important to give
her students a solid and fun start in their education.
Mrs.
Biggins was born on April 13, 1962 in Sheridan, Wyoming, although
she was raised in Billings. Her favorite subjects in school were
art because she enjoys making things, and science because she likes
to learn new things. Mrs. Biggins and her husband, Jason, have two
children, Brianna and Bridger. Other additions to the family are
a beautiful Golden Retriever named Zoey, two black and white cats
named Macie and Mia, and two very large aquarium fish.
Mrs.
Biggins has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.
She went to college at Eastern Montana College in Billings. Mrs.
Biggins has also taught at the Hardin School District. She taught
language development to Native American children through art. Mrs.
Biggins chose her profession because she enjoys teaching and working
with children.
Mrs.
Biggins has worked at Lockwood School for twenty-two years. She
chose to work there because it is wonderful school that provides
outstanding opportunities for their students and staff. What Mrs.
Biggins likes best about teaching at this school is that everyone
works together to do the best things for the children. Mrs. Biggins'
responsibilities include: planning, organizing, managing, facilitating,
learning, and evaluating student progress. Some changes that have
been made in the time she has been here are changes in programs,
staff, and in the physical structure. If Mrs. Biggins could ever
choose a different job she would be a nurse because she likes to
help people.
Some
of Mrs. Biggins' hobbies include making artwork, creating photo
albums, and reading. When Mrs. Biggins is not in school she always
likes to spend time with her family: skiing, camping, swimming,
seeing her kids' athletic and music events, and doing work around
the house. A few of the interesting places Mrs. Biggins has been
are New York, Colorado, Arizona, and California. If Mrs. Biggins
could go anywhere she would like to go overseas because she's never
been there before.
Mrs.
Biggins' favorite sport is downhill skiing! Her favorite animal
is a lion, but she loves all animals. Her favorite holiday is Christmas.
Her favorite food is steak. Her favorite books are the series of
"The Boxcar Children".
