TITLE:	Security Worker
REPORTS TO:	Facilities Director
SUPERVISES (if applicaable):	N/A
JOB DEFINITION OR GOAL:	To create a safe and positive school environment by monitoring the campus after school hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIIES:

1. Monitors the campus after the regular school day to ensure security.
   
   
2. Checks that all doors and windows are locked each evening.
   
   
3. Maintains security when outside groups are present including weekends.
   
   
4. Checks corridors, walkways, classrooms, restrooms, entrances/exits to the school and areas adjacent to the school.
   
   
5. Reports unusual activities or unauthorized visitors to the sheriff and/or facilities director.
   
   
6. Discourages unauthorized persons from entering campus or loitering in parking lots or other areas.
   
   
7. Prepares and maintains simple logs, records or reports related to work activities as required.
   
   
8. Checks all areas after groups have left for cleanliness and security.
   
   
9. Keeps in communication with the community education coordinator for use of buildings after regular school hours.
