|JOB DEFINITION OR GOAL:||To create a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education in accordance with each pupil's ability; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.|

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand; twist at neck and waist; kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in quiet environments. May be required to lift or move up to 20 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside, but some duties and practice drills will be performed outside, including recess, field trips, fire drills, etc. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The employee is directly responsible for the safety and well being of students.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times can be noisy.The employee must work well under pressure to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. The employee shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
