Photograph of Debbie StrizichWelcome to Lockwood School. As you may know we are doing projects on staff. Debbie Strizich is our superintendent's secretary, and her importance to the school is greeting people when they come in the Administration Building and to maintain good public relations between the community members and staff.

Now we talk about her younger education life. She was born October 14, 1954 and grew up in Forsyth, Montana. In school her favorite subjects were English because she loves to write, and in later years she liked American Government because she enjoys politics.

In order to do her job Debbie had to have a high school diploma with some college training. The college she went to was Eastern Montana College which is presently Montana State University Billings (MSU-B).

When she first got her job she was 35 years old. Before she permanently got her job she was just filling in for the real secretary who had gotten hurt. Hearing that the woman would not return, Debbie ended up being the one to get the job. Presently she has been here 9 years and will stay 5 more years if all goes well. Then she will get a part time job. She chose to work out here because her kids were in school, and she lived out here in Lockwood. She works with the superintendent who is her boss, the clerk, and the accounts payable person. Debbie likes her job because she gets to work with a terrific staff and kids. The favorite part about her job is dealing with the public, but the most frustrating part is making the reports to the Office of Public Instruction. If she could have another job it would be a TV reporter or a weather person. The only family member that works at a school job is a sister-in-law in Colstrip.

Debbie has a son, a daughter, and a grandson. She has two male cats whose names are Max and Elway, plus a male dog named Shannon. In her free time Debbie likes to work in her yard and read books. Debbie would like to meet author Steven King because of his books and thinks he would be interesting to talk to. If Debbie could go anywhere in the world she would go to Paris, France because of the culture and history around it. Now you have learned all we have heard about Debbie Strizich's wonderful life and job.
